When the lift is in the “up” position, all steel components are out of the water with the exception of mounting brackets when the dock has a low freeboard. Otherwise, only the air tanks remain in the water thereby eliminating corrosion. Also, when the lift is down its travel is limited by design so no chains hanging in the water are needed to stop it.
